It makes a Monday go pretty good when we get to wrap up a cool project! Completed a “bucket list” project today. Clover Cliff Ranch is a historic working ranch near Elmdale, Kansas. They host weddings and events in addition to raising bison. They asked me to design an outdoor wedding backdrop overlooking the valley below their event pavilion. We settled on this “moongate” with curved walls that are flanked by heavy columns. Stone flower planters made by Lardner Stone sit on the columns. The stone is salvaged historic fence off a remote part of the ranch. My crew really stepped it up on this one! True teamwork and pride in the workmanship!
