Luke discovered his interest for construction while still in highschool. Completing hundreds of projects over the course of 35 years has given him a broad background in the building trades. Through the influence of key people in his life he has honed and developed his passion for traditional stonework. Hunting, fishing and traveling with friends and family are some of his favorite activities.
Susan and Luke married in1997, starting Koch Construction Specialties together in 2000. Susan has kept everything organized in the office since the beginning. During the day she teaches history and social studies part-time at the Jr/Sr highschool. She coaches cheerleaders, and helps with multiple youth organizations. She enjoys family time, snow skiing, swimming and traveling when she gets the chance.
Matt has been with Koch Construction since 2013. He has been in masonry for 20 years now. One of his most memorable projects was our first root cellar restoration near Alma, KS. In his free time he loves sports and spending time with his wife, Lyndsey and new baby daughter, Addilyn.
Carl brings 21 years of experience to the crew. He has worked with us since 2017. Carl is very social and loves the camaraderie of working with the crew. He has fond memories of building a 835 ft. long stone fence at the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. In his free time he likes hunting, fishing and hanging out with his 6 grown kids and wife Diane.
Carson has quickly developed a wide set of skills since joining us in 2019. He’s up for anything and likes the variety our jobs bring. One of his favorite things is seeing the sunrises while coming to work. One of his favorite jobs was building the moongate for a local wedding venue. In his free time he enjoys the outdoors , and taking care of his farm and animals.
Aisha helps us behind the scenes keeping the administrative end organized. She recently joined us part time to help us out. Most of her work day is dedicated to Rockland Stone, the family business and stone quarry. Rockland Stone is one of our local stone suppliers who we work closely with. Aisha enjoys watching her 3 kids play sports, and spending time with the family.
Cameron started working with us while still in highschool. He enjoys the change in scenery as we move from job to job. He particularly enjoyed building a true traditional stone house on a local ranch a few years back. On weekends you’ll find him in the outdoors hunting, fishing, or attending concerts.
The newest member of our team, joining us in January 2023. Rogelio has been quick to learn our day-to-day routine. He brings a lot of skills with him and is quickly finding his place on the crew. He spends his free time with his young family on their farm.
Bill brings 40 years of experience to the crew. He enjoys being able to work with his son Matt. His most memorable project was building a drystone arched bridge near Matfield Greene. In his free time he enjoys playing pool and coaching softball.
